Green Team
What began with an idea in 2018 has evolved into a green mission for Bethany Christian Church. A small group of people started the Green Chalice program through Disciples of Christ. In May of 2022, Bethany Christian Church became only the 18th church nationwide and the only one in Nebraska to become a Green Chalice Certified Congregation. The congregation came together in a variety of projects to achieve the certification. In 2022 we continued our efforts and also became a Certified Cool Congregation with a 10% reduction in carbon emissions in response to climate change.
